Alpe di Siusi - Classic Location

Alpe di Siusi is the highest populated plateau in Europe at an altitude of around 2000m. In this special place there is a nearly infinite number of creative photo opportunities to be had. Alpe di Siusi spans an area of 56 square kilometers in the Trentino Alto Adige region, Bolzano province,
and includes some 800 different species of wild flowers, rustic wooden huts, murmuring streams and small ponds.

All around the plateau there are well-known mountains like Sciliar , Catinaccio , Sassopiatto , Sassolungo . During late spring and summer season all the meadows are full of wild flowers so the colors are really interesting. Most of the hotels are located in Compaccio but there are others dotted around other interesting areas of the plateau. There are also 2 little artificial lakes in which to capture reflections.

Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee) - Classic View

The most famous point of interest is Lake Braies but along the valley you’ll find interesting subjects.
The valley is about 10 km long reaching Braies Lake at the end. About halfway down the valley there is a trail to the Prato Piazza plateau, about 15 km away.
The lake is completely surrounded by mountains, the most famous of which is the Croda del Becco; the lake is also the starting point of the Altavia trail no. 1.

Seceda Ridge View

Seceda is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the Dolomites - it’s as if you’re on top of the world and any visit there will be memorable. From the summit you have the best known view of the Odle chain, as well as views towards Alpe di Siusi , Sassolungo , Sella Group , Funes Valley and far away to the Adamello Brenta Group, the Cevedale Group and as far as the Austrian alps.

Lago di Carezza (Karersee)

Lake Carezza is perhaps the most famous alpine lake in the Dolomites. It is an authentic pearl set in a forest of fir trees and its waters are tinged with a wonderful emerald green.The most famous image of Lake Carezza is represented by the lake itself which reflects both part of the famous fir forest overhung by the Dolomitic group of the Latemar which lights up during the last hours of the afternoon.

La Valle - Chiesa Santa Barbara

La Valle is a narrow side valley of the famous Val Badia. The entrance is near the village of Pederoa about halfway along the SS244, which connects Corvara to Brunico. From the village of Pederoa in the valley bottom the road climbs up to the village of San Genesio to a small group of houses, the most famous of which is Tolpei.
The head of the valley is formed by the wonderful Dolomite group of the Sasso della Croce and the most important visible peaks are the Sasso delle 9 and Sasso delle 10. In this valley you’ll find few hotels but many houses offer bed and breakfast or private rooms.

Val di Funes - Santa Maddalena Church

Funes is a valley on Trentino Alto Adige region between the cities of Bolzano and Bressanone. It’s as if time stands still once you enter this magnificent, enchanted valley. The 2 most famous points of interest are the church of San Giovanni in Ranui and the famous cherry tree (a beautiful tree whose leaves turn a stunning red in autumn leaves) overlooking the Church of Santa Maddalena and the panoramic view of the Odle mountains.

Funes is a valley on Trentino Alto Adige region between the cities of Bolzano and Bressanone. It’s as if time stands still once you enter this magnificent, enchanted valley. Passo Giau - Ra Gusela

Passo Giau is one of the most beautiful and interesting passes of the all Dolomites both for visiting and for photography. The pass is dominated by the triangular shape of the mountain Ra Gusela. From the pass it is possible to have direct of Ra Gusela, as well as to Cernera mountain on the other side. From here you can also see many other famous peaks like Tofane, Cristallo, Lastoi de Formin, Marmolada, Sella Group and Col di Lana. During summer you’ll find many kinds of flowers, which make for the perfect foreground in pictures.

Lago Limides (Limedes Lake)

This area is beautiful and great for walking and climbing as well as interesting for photos. Located in the heart of the Grand Dolomites this is a very special place that is considered sacred ground to many Italians. The Falzarego Pass is just one of a number of high mountain passes that visitors can traverse as they cross the Grand Dolomite Highway. The pass is dominated by a chain of famous mountains : Lagazuoi , Rozes Tofana, Averau and Sass de Stria. Beautiful Limedes Lake is a 30 minute walk from here. Take the cable car from here to the summit of Mount Lagazuoi. The refuge at the top is open in summer and winter.
