About this spot
The monument Founders of Bulgarian State is situated on the top of Shumen plateau. It was built in 1981 to mark the 1300 anniversary from the country establishment. The monument is 70m high and 140m long. For its construction were used 50 000 m3 of concrete and 2 400 tons of iron.
