About this spot
Derwent Edge is a high rising edge above
Ladybower and Derwent Reservoirs. Formed upon the edge are some of the largest gritstone tors that can be seen from miles away. One of the most iconic formations on the edge is the Salt Cellar, so iconic in fact that to celebrate the National Park’s 63rd Birthday, Google released their Google Doodle on that
day featuring the formation.
