About this spot
The Plague column was built in 1716-1720. It was financed by Zuzana Hodová, who lived in house nr. 52 and bequeathed 1.000 Austrian Guldens for that purpose in her last will. On the top of the column stands the Virgin Mary on a globe, the pedestal of the column holds the saints (Francis Xaverius, James, John of Nepomuk, Rochus, Sebastian and the Guardian Angel).
