The Isola di Sant'Elena is an island in Venice, Italy. It is located at the eastern tip of the main island group and is part of the sestiere (district) of Castello. The island is linked to the rest of Venice by three bridges and is home to a park, a marina, and residential areas. Sant'Elena is known for its tranquil environment, which offers a break from the bustling tourist areas of Venice. It is also the site of the Sant'Elena church, a beautiful example of Venetian-Byzantine architecture. The island offers views of the Venice lagoon and is a starting point for trips to other islands, such as Murano and Burano. Despite its calmness and somewhat peripheral location, Sant'Elena is easily accessible by vaporetto, the Venetian public waterbus.
