About this spot

The Dosson peak is a small peak rising about 2500 meters, it is situated right on the border between Italy and Switzerland. The peak, on the Swiss side offers a majestic view over Val Da Camp and on the Bernina range.

Keep in mind that this is a mountain trail. You should be prepared for any change in the weather and in the temperature. Always bring enough water, warm clothes and hiking shoes. Also you should always bring your trash to the car, and, if you can, it is good to leave the place a little better than before.
The hike starts from that road. As soon as the road levels down a bit (spot labeled 'trailhead')you can either follow the dirty road up to Rifugio Saoseo and the Lagh da Saoseo or follow the trail, much more rewarding and beautiful, to Lagh da Saoseo. From Lagh da Saoseo follow the sign to Lagh da Val Viola. As you reach the lake keep yourself on the north-west shore. After a few water crossing you'll find a sign which indicates the route to the pass. Following the path you will son find a small mount on your left, that is it.
From the parking lot it will take you up to 4/5 hours depending on you pace and on the route chosen.
