About this spot
The popular viewpoint was built by a local tourist club in May 1981. The view of the historic part of Nove Mest nad Metuji is called Czech Bethlehem, following the panorama captured in the bible. The viewpoint is named after Jan Juranek, who was a popular figure in the local community. The outlook is standing on the ruins of the medieval castle Vyrov.
