About this spot
A wonderful viewpoint on Naples is from Castel Sant'Elmo that dominates the city from high. This Castle is a beautiful medieval fortress located on the Vomero Hill next to the Certosa di San Martino. The name "Sant'Elmo" derives from a former 10th-century church dedicated to Sant'Erasmo, shortened to "Ermo" and later changed into "Elmo". The fortress now serves as a museum and exhibition hall
