About this spot
Burbage Rocks is a gritstone edge following on from Stanage Edge. It is located on the Yorkshire side of the border near the village of Ringinglow. In terms of height the edge
is quite small, but for distance it stretches 2 miles from its northern end near Ringinglow down to its southern end near Fox House Road. It has grand views towards Higger Tor, Stanage Edge and Carl Wark.

Burbage Rocks is part of the horseshoe of edges running from Stanage Edge down to Birchen Edge. This horseshoe of edges forms the ‘Nine Edges Challenge’ which is a walk, run or climb. Perhaps then, this may be why Burbage Rocks is sometimes referred to as Burbage Edge. It makes
logical sense.
