About this spot
Van Trump Park is noted for its large meadows and even larger views of Mt. Rainier. In season, the meadows are covered with a profusion of wildflowers, rivaling those found in the Paradise area, but without the masses of people. The main disadvantage of this location is the miserable trail, steep with difficult steps over roots and rocks and generally clogged with hikers. The trail to Van Trump Park is a continuation of the trail to Comet Falls and the two locations may be easily combined into one hike.
