Big Tom was the alpha male when I visited Tanjang Puting. He definitely ruled the whole place. Earlier he had tried to board a klotok ( traditional boat) and managed to grab a packet of washing powder before being chased off the boat by crew members. He clearly knew what washing powder was for, and soaped his arm enthusiastically dipping it in the river, before licking off the foam! An hour later he was rolling on the ground, a very unusual sight, Maybe he had tummy ache after eating washing powder foam??
