The collection of rocks just out to sea to the west of Lizard Point are called Lead Pool. This spot is a great location to shoot seascapes, especially when waves crash over the rocks or a beautiful sunset casts golden light over the area.In this image I was shooting another gorgeous Cornish sunset to the west when everything around me suddenly starting to glow pink, including the rocks and the sea. It was only when I looked to the south I saw a huge bank of dark and ominous cloud drifting over from the east. The sun's position low on the horizon was perfect to illuminate the underside of the cloud, leading to bright red and angry blue tones which made for a memorable experience and a fascinating image.
