Portions of the boardwalk are only slghtly raised above ground level and may be covered with water during flood stages of the Conagree River. The trees at this section fo the trail are Water Tupelos. The moss on the tree trunks grows to the high water level. On the large tree in the right foreground that height is about 12'/3.7m.
