Windsor is easily accessible by car: Exit the M4 at junction 6 and follow signs for Windsor. Alternatively, you can take the A308 from Staines or the A332 from Slough, both of which lead directly to Windsor.

Heathrow Airport is approximately 10 miles away - a short taxi ride, or take the Heathrow Express train to London Paddington Station, and then to Windsor & Eton Central Station or Windsor & Eton Riverside Station.

Plan your visit around Windsor Castle, starting with the Long Walk and classic view of the castle. Allow at least half a day if you plan to visit the castle and grounds and check the castle's opening times and book tickets in advance if possible to avoid queues.
