About this spot
Dokkum is one of the Frisian towns that are known for the "11 cities" skating race. There are two windmills, and both have good vantage points to shoot from. In this case there is a walking trail along the water that offers ample possibilities. The mill is a corn mill from 1862. It is a smock mill and a national monument.
