This charming seaside resort in Pas-de-Calais is the very first on the Opal Coast. The beautiful sea boulevard has a large sea dike, for lovely walks with your hair in the wind. But Wimereux is also characterized by the many houses in Anglo-Norman style from the Belle Epoque, whose elegant facades are decorated with frescoes.
Just outside Wimereux, the unspoilt beach of Pointe aux Oies, bordered by dunes, offers a nice view of the village of Ambleteuse and its fortress. The Regional Natural Park of the Capes and Opal Marshes (Parc Naturel Régional des Caps et Marais d'Opale) offers wonderful walks for those who like to be in nature.
