About this spot
Founded around the year 600, the Weltenburg monestary is one of most prominent abbeys around Germany. Situated along the Danube river, the "breakthrough" of the Danube river through the mountains is just a few hundred meters away. Perfect walkways and ideal for day trips. Beware though: busloads of tourists will be dropped on warm sunny days.
