About this spot
This is one of the most notable castles in Slovenia. It dates back to early 16th century. Its beginnings go even further, to 11th century. The most famous owners were the Auersperg family. There is a legend that the family had to pay a large tribute to Ottomans to get back the head of Herbard Auersperg, the most famous knight of the family. The castle nowadays hosts a cool museum and a knight's hall, that can be rented.
