About this spot
Thurne Mill is one of many drainage mills on the Norfolk Broads. Built in 1820, Thurne has managed to remain in relatively good condition (unlike many of the other mills which are now derelict) and in fact the mill still functions to this day, with open days throughout the year offering visitors the chance to see it in action.
