The St. Petersburg Fireworks Festival is an annual celebration that takes place at the end of May and is timed to coincide with the founding day of St. Petersburg. The festival, which has been held since 2018, is the most colorful part of the holiday events. In 2019, the Fireworks Festival won the Grand Prix of the National Russian Event Awards in the field of event tourism.
The festival is a competition of pyrotechnics - usually the best pyrotechnic teams from Russia and a number of foreign countries participate.
