About this spot
Skagen's Vippefyr is a lighthouse located in Skagen in Vendsyssel. The original tilting lighthouse, which is the first of its kind in Denmark, was built in 1627. A faithful copy now stands in the same place. The tilting lighthouse replaced an earlier so-called parrot lighthouse and was in operation until 1747
