Next to Piazza del Nettuno and the Palazzo d’Accursio is the Biblioteca Salaborsa. At one time the building housed the former Stock Exchange, but now it is home to a multimedia library designed in the Art Nouveau style.
As you walk through the main “square” of the library look down. Sections of the floor are glass giving you a glimpse into history—excavations of the medieval and Roman settlements are found below the Salaborsa.
