About this spot
The town of Tourtoirac is located in the Auvézère valley in an area of narrowing of the valley allowing the crossing of the river.

The remains of the abbey show what a monastic enclosure could have been like in the Middle Ages. In addition to the abbey church, there are two towers, a chapter house and a chapel which date from the Romanesque period. You can also see the abbey house from the 17th century.
