About this spot
The Église Saint-Maurice de Lille has a rich history dating back to the 14th century. The original church on the site was built in the Gothic architectural style, but it underwent significant renovations and expansions over the centuries. The current structure largely dates from the 19th century.
The Saint-Maurice Church features a blend of architectural styles due to its construction and renovation phases. The original Gothic elements can still be seen in parts of the church, including the lower sections of the towers. The nave and the upper portions of the towers were constructed in the Neo-Gothic style during the 19th-century renovations. The façade displays intricate stone carvings and rose windows, adding to its visual appeal.
