Weddings seemingly take place here almost constantly. Avoid ruining someones' day. The edge of the gorge is steep and there's not much in the way of barriers or official footpaths. Watch your step, especially with children.

About this spot
Saghmosavank Monastery is situated on the west bank of a deep gorge, cut by the Kasagh River. The main church was built around 1215 and was expanded in later years. The style is typical of other Armenian churches, however the position on the edge of the gorge makes this particularly worth a visit.
