Shoot with care
Although this is frequently referred to as a ghost town, a handful of folk do live here. Take care of which properties you photograph, and observe signs regarding trespassing.
About this spot
Rodney is a small hamlet around 30 miles north of Natchez, in Mississippi. Founded in 1828, Rodney thrived for years, but in 1870, the river changed course and Rodney found itself 2 miles inland, with a port that no longer served a purpose. Over the years, people moved away, and today there's not much left, but a few buildings still stand and make for an interesting subject to photograph.
