About this spot
The 50-acre Joel Pritchard Park is located on the southern Eagle Harbor shoreline across from the Seattle – Bainbridge Island ferry terminal at Winslow. The western portion of the park includes the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial, a part of the Minidoka National Historic Site where Japanese Americans were shipped to federal interment camps during World War II. The northern portion a former creosote plant, currently being remediated under the federal Superfund. The eastern shore is the subject of this spot. Here there is a view of Puget Sound across to downtown Seattle and Mount Rainier.
