About this spot
Most prominent photo spot on Petrova gora mountain is a Monument to the uprising of the people of Kordun and Banija. It is a beautiful example of the post WW2 socialism brutal architecture which is sadly left to devastation and decay… Petrova gora is also known as one of Croatian dark spots suitable for star gazing or even more serious astronomy gatherings. Unfortunately, last year that changed when they build a communication tower with bright red lights (effects of which you can clearly see in photos as a red luminance of the monument itself). Anyway, even ruined, the monument itself is a beautiful enough to gather passionate photographers who frequent this location…
