About this spot
Parsetjarns Skans is a WW2 defense complex on a hillside in Sweden, close to the Norwegian border. On the 9th April 1940, word was received that Norway had been invaded by the Nazis and over the following days they moved closer to the border. To try and stop them getting to Gothenburg, the Swedes built a number of fortifications, and this is one of them.
