Nicaragua is a very poor country and as such you need to be conscious of carrying around a big camera and bag full of expensive gear. But nonetheless it's a gorgeous country with amazing people and places to photograph.
About this spot
Granada is the oldest Colonial City in Latin America. With the cathedral dominating one side this square is a lively centre point of Granada, especially in the evenings.
Streets are named idiosyncratically, sometimes using long lost landmarks as a point of reference!
The buildings are colourful and the people are friendly. If you're new to Nicaragua, this is the city to come to first. There's a huge expat community, lots of good restaurants, a gym, a spa, and more. This main square is where all the action is at.
