The lake Annone, one of the largest of the Brianza lakes, lies at the foot of Mount Cornizzolo and Mount Barro: rising up these mountains you can enjoy a marvellous view of this lake and its... strange shape!
Infact, the main characteristic of Lake Annone is to have a peninsula, known as the Isella peninsula, which creates a narrow canal dividing the lake in two. It is believed that in ancient times there was a Roman bridge that joined the two peninsulas, which allowed a large link road between Lecco and Como.
