About this spot
Northumberland Street runs between Divis Street and Shankill Road. It is one of several streets connecting loyalist and republican west Belfast. The International Wall on Divis Street continues up Northumberland Street (western perimeter) and around into Beverley Street (northern perimeter).
There are two sets of security gates across Northumberland Street, part of the exceptionally long “peace” line. The republican murals on Northumberland Street are a mix of international and local concerns.
