The speed limit over the bridge is 5 mph. If there are a lot of people in the park it an become congested. Be careful of traffic.
Even more important is to be careful of the alligators. They are real. They are wild animals. They are dangerous. Do not approach too closely. They look slow and sluggish. Actually they can outrun a human over a short distance. They bite. The water's edge here is a dangerous place, particularly for children and pets.

Shortly after you enter the park you cross the Myakka River. There are many alligators under and around the bridge.
