About this spot
The Musée de l'Hospice Comtesse is a museum located in Lille, France. It is situated in the historic district of Ilôt Comtesse, near the city center. The museum is housed in a former hospital and convent known as the Hospice Comtesse, which dates back to the 13th century.

The Hospice Comtesse was founded in 1237 by Countess Jeanne of Flanders as a charitable institution to care for the sick and the poor. Over the centuries, the complex grew and underwent various expansions and renovations. The architecture of the building reflects its evolution, incorporating Gothic, Renaissance, and Classical elements.

The interiour court is free to visit without the purchase of a ticket.
