About this spot
The Memaloose Hills have great views of the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood, and in the spring time, are covered with wildflowers. The the trail loops through two hills - Marsh Hill and Chatfield Hill, both with gorgeous views. In addition, the trail traverses though oak woodlands, meadows and wetlands.

Parking is at the Memloose Overlook, so before or after your hike, take a peak at the Columbia River and Memaloose Island. Memaloose is the local Indian name for "corpse" and the island was an Native American burial ground for ages.
