About this spot
The Lom Stave Church is one of the larger of the 28 remaining stave churches in Norway. Originally built in 1170, the church has been remodeled and expanded. The current interior dates back to the 1600 and 1700s. Various carved panels, as well as the carved canopy above the pulpit, were added at the time, giving the church interior its baroque feel.
