About this spot
The Old Pier at Loch Snizort in the Skeabost area of the Isle of Skye is full of history. It was initially built as a spot for bringing a coal supply to this part of the island, then it became a secret meeting point for people running away from the Highlands, and finally, it was used as a dock for the army boats during the second world war.
The Old Pier is now sharing its grounds with the Skeabost House, and it is only used as a viewpoint for incredible sunsets and northern light shows.
