The landscape cubes symbolize the solidarity between the 4 residential areas of the 'Green Quadrant': Herne, Herfelingen, Kokejane and Sint-Pieters-Kapelle.
Each cube has its specific design and is harmoniously connected with its environment:
Mayken (May 2018): this cube, after Pieter Bruegel's wife, stands on a ridge in Herflingen. From here you have a beautiful view of the Heikruis church and monastery site, the village centers of Bogaarden and the Satcom site, the Heide in Kester and, in good weather, the skyline of Brussels.
