About this spot
Pretty much the only thing of Lamoine that remains is the old school house that was built in 1915 and closed in 1924. There was anticipation of the railroad coming through, and when that didn't happen that sealed the town's fate.
The school house is very easy to see from the roadside and is surrounded by wheat fields.
