Lake Jindabyne is an artificial freshwater reservoir in NSW, Australia. It was created in 1967 as part of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Scheme and covers an area of approximately 30 square kilometers. It is a popular destination for fishing, water sports, and camping, and is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. The town of Jindabyne sits on the eastern shore of the lake and provides easy access to a range of outdoor activities. Jindabyne is the main service town to the ski resorts; Thredbo and Perisher.
