Königssee is a large alpine lake in the Berchtesgaden National Park (Deutschland, near Austrian border). Surrounded by the steep mountains (up to 2700 m height) the lake is like a fjord and it is also famous for its clear water. While visiting, be sure to stop by the St. Bartholomä pilgrimage church.
