King Alfred's Tower, often referred to as King Alfred's Folly, is a striking historic tower located in Somerset on Kingsettle Hill and is part of the Stourhead estate. The tower was built in the 18th century, between 1765 and 1772, by Henry Hoare II, the owner of the Stourhead estate, in honor of King Alfred the Great.
