About this spot
Grosmont Station is a key point on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. At the northern end of the heritage line, you can take a trip southwards on steam or diesel engines as well as mainline connections to Middlesbrough and Whitby.

Presented in a 50s style, the attractive station offers the usual tea-room and ticket office along with a variety of details to photograph. You can also cross the road and walk south through a pedestrian tunnel to the workshops and observe some of the maintenance taking place, as Grosmont is also the main depot for the NYMR.
