About this spot
The Great Sand Dunes of Southern Colorado are the tallest sand dunes in North America. They are backdropped by the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range (Spanish for the blood of Christ - as the mountains can turn red at sunset). is a great spot to photograph. They are always shifting but can rise as high as 750 feet.
