About this spot
Goathland Station lies on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and is a popular tourist destination. The station has been used in a variety of TV shows and films (most notably as the Hogsmeade Station in the Harry Potter movies) thanks to its quaint feel.
To the disappointment of some tourists visiting from China, the station has avoided turning itself into a wizard-child theme park and remains quite genuine today. Visitors can enjoy a visit to the tea-room and a stroll around the nearby pretty village of Goathland.
