El Ombú de Areco is located in San Antonio de Areco, 120 km from Buenos Aires. The estancia consists of a magnificent 1880 farmhouse that has belonged to the Boelcke family since 1934.
Since 1993, this traditional Estancia in San Antonio de Areco receives tourists from Argentina and beyond.
Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities, such as horseback riding, sulky (carriage) rides, folk shows with live music and dancers, demonstrations of “Doma India” (Traditional Argentine horse whispering) or “Tropilla” (herd of horses), hiking, cycling and bird watching.
The site comprises 300 hectares, divided between grazing livestock and agriculture. There are approx 350 heads of Aberdeen Angus cattle and 70 horses as well as fields planted with soy, corn, wheat, oats or pastures, depending on the time of year.
