About this spot
This spot features an unusual pale blue and brown barn set near the base of rolling hills. A flat agricultural field between the viewpoint on the highway and the barn and a piece of farm equipment provide foreground elements. There is also a pond west of the barn that can be added to compositions shot from Erickson Road.
The barn was built by Nels Eriksen in 1915. His great-grandson, Tracey Eriksen, who now runs the farm with his son, maintains a blog called Farming the Palouse which discusses topics of agricultural interest to the Palouse region.
