About this spot
The Falize rock in Durbuy is also known as Homalius rock and Anticlinal. The highest point of Durbuy is located above this imposing rock. It is a special rock that has arisen over centuries. The latest investigations have shown that the rock is more than 300 million years old. The inverted U-shape is very special. This form arises because various layers of lime are pushed upwards by pressure. This type of rock is called anticline.

A beautiful wooden platform has been built on Avenue Hubert Philippart. From this place you have a magnificent view of the Falize rock. The water feature and the fountains are also beautiful to see. A little further to the rear are concrete benches. Here you can enjoy this special rock in the sunlight!
