About this spot
The Dry Canyon, also known as Wolgan View Canyon and Nobles Canyon, is an excellent and accessible walk-through canyon - getting in and out of the canyon doesn’t require any abseiling, and a there is no water, so you don’t require any special gear whatsoever. It’s basically a bushwalk with a twist. There are two sections of canyon - separated by a dense amphitheatre of tree ferns. The first section is attractive with a lost world feel, while the second is spectacular - very high and very dark in patches with beautiful shafts of light coming down and lightening up the sandstone.
