About this spot
Tumalo Creek is a waterfall haven, with more than half a dozen waterfalls. Double Falls is the second waterfall on the creek, about a mile upstream from Tumalo Falls (a separate PhotoHound spot). Tumalo Creek is fed by springs higher up in the Cascades, providing plenty of water to the falls, even during the dry end of summer.

The name Double Falls is a bit of misnomer. There are actually three waterfalls here, two lower relatively close together falls and a third waterfall a short distance upstream. This uppermost falls drops about 37 feet; lower two cascade 23 feet and 29 feet. These falls have are also sometimes called Middle Tumalo Falls, Upper Tumalo Falls, and Twin Falls.
